Music  is a very important part of worship, and the choir plays a large part in

leading that worship through their singing.

The choir has been meeting on Thursday evenings for practice for 60 years.

In the earlier days there was a huge choir, and contributed with

regular anthems and musical pieces in 4 part harmony.

However over the years our numbers have shrunk,  but we still meet on Thursday evenings from 7pm till 8.30pm.   And we are always looking for new members.

The choir contributes every week to morning worship with an introit and doxology being sung, and,  throughout the year, from time to time, we sing a special anthem (for Christmas, Easter, Harvest, Remembrance and so on).   These are  modern and carefully planned to contribute to the Christian Year.

Almost everything we do is simple – sometimes in unison and sometimes in 2 part harmony, because not a lot of the choir read music and we have all levels of ability.   We would really appreciate having more people join us.   So if you would like to join us don’t let lack of  music training inhibit you -   All we need is someone who has an  enthusiasm for singing.
