Park Church has re-opened again. There are still restrictions in place, with numbers limited to a maximum of 50. Wearing of face masks, hand sanitising and keeping 2 metre distance at all times are still in force.
The church manse has been vacant as we await permission to call a new minister. Permission has been sought, and granted, from Presbytery and Edinburgh to rent out the manse meantime so this is in the hands of an estate agent, who will deal with Edinburgh over the paperwork. The manse is owned by the General Trustees, not the local congregation.
Christian Aid Sunday is 16th May. Envelopes will be available at church for members wishing to make a donation from the last Sunday in April.
The Kirk Session agreed that all members of the session would undertake refresher training for safeguarding. This will take place, beginning in May.
If you wish to give a donation to Park church it can be done through the "donate" button on the homepage of this website. There was a small deficit in giving for the first 2 months of this year, due to the fact that the church was closed. We still have bills to pay and all contributions are gratefully received. The church roof has shown a few leaks over the winter and this will incur some expense to put right.
Our online services continue - shared on the church facebook page - and additional worship can be found on the Church of Scotland website (churchofscotland.org.uk)
